چکیده

The work deals with the fatigue analysis of automobile drivers by acquiring their physical signals during real world driving task to determine the driver’s relative stress level. The ECG signals were evaluated using two methods one using time domain analysis and second method using frequency domain analysis. In time domain analysis Pan Tomkins method is used for the detection of QRS complex and then determines the width of QRS complex and determines the heart rate of the driver. The second method frequency domain analysis determines the correlation of QRS Complex with the marker signal and with the help of correlation coefficients we can determine the stress. Marker signal was given by the evaluators by observing the drivers at various levels. . These findings indicate that physiological signals will provide a metric of driver stress in future cars capable of physiological monitoring.

Detection and Classification of Emotions Using Physiological Signals and Pattern Recognition Methods

Introduction: Emotions play an important role in health, communication, and interaction between humans. The ability to recognize the emotional status of people is an important indicator of health and natural relationships. In DEAP database, electroencephalogram (EEG) signals as well as environmental physiological signals related to 32 volunteers are registered. The participants in each video we...

Intelligent Driver Mental State Monitoring System Using Physiological Sensor Signals

Driving a vehicle involves a series of events, which are related to and evolve with the mental state (such as sleepiness, mental load, and stress) of the driver. These states are also identified as causal factors of critical situations that can lead to road accidents and vehicle crashes. These driver impairments need to be detected and predicted in order to reduce critical situations and road a...

تغییرات مؤلفه های فرکانسی و زمانی الکترورتینوگرام در بیماران مبتلا به رتینیت پیگمنتوزا در مقایسه با افراد سالم

Background and purpose: Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) is one of the retinal degeneration diseases affecting the eye signals. Electroretinogram (ERG) is a signal that plays an important role in diagnosis and treatment of RP. This signal includes useful information that cannot be revealed just in time domain. We aimed to investigate the effect of RP on time, frequency, and time-frequency parameters o...

Proposed new signal for real-time stress monitoring: Combination of physiological measures

Human stress is a physiological tension that appears when a person responds to mental, emotional, or physical chal-lenges. Detecting human stress and developing methods to manage it, has become an important issue nowadays. Au-tomatic stress detection through physiological signals may be a useful method for solving this problem. In most of the earlier studies, long-term time window was considere...
